The Dinton Hermit is delighted to introduce
The Little Bigg Jazz Club!
The Little Bigg Jazz Club!
A brand-new monthly celebration of live music.
Held on the last Wednesday of every month from 8pm, The Little Bigg Jazz Club transforms our restaurant into an intimate and vibrant music space. Each month, we welcome live musicians with serious pedigree—including performers who have graced the stage at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London. Expect an eclectic mix of jazz styles delivered with warmth, personality, and a light-hearted feel that makes the evening as welcoming as it is musically impressive.
With musicians changing month to month, no two Little Bigg Jazz Club nights will be the same. Whether you’re a lifelong jazz fan or simply enjoy great live music, it’s the perfect midweek treat.
Pair the music with a delicious meal from our kitchen and make a night of it. The Little Bigg Jazz Club offers a unique opportunity to enjoy exceptional dining while being entertained by outstanding performers in a cosy, character-filled setting. Join us for an unforgettable evening where history, hospitality, and harmony come together at The Dinton Hermit.
And the name… it’s inspired by one of the village’s most intriguing historical figures, John Bigg, the original “Dinton Hermit,” who lived here in the 17th century. Bigg is reputed to have been one of the executioners of King Charles I, and when public opinion swung back toward royalism, he sought refuge from retribution by living as a recluse in a cave in Dinton. His story is woven into the fabric of our inn, and this new jazz night brings a playful, modern twist to his legacy.
